Mr. Yeddyurappa announce a roadmap for Bangalore

Congratulations on a fantastic victory that threw out of the window many a myths to defy conventional wisdom.

As you prepare to assume office in Karnataka for the next 5 years, Offstumped would like to hold you to your words “Development, Development, Development …..”

In this interview to the Rediff you had promised autonomy to Bangalore to manage its own affairs. At this momentous occassion, Offstumped calls upon you to make good on that promise by announcing a roadmap for relieving Bangalore of its urban distress.

This roadmap must begin with a speedy clearance for the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Project, BMICP and culminate with a model of local governance for Bangalore based on a directly elected Mayor, an autonomous Local Corporation and a professional City Management.

Unless local law enforcement and civic services are directly accountable to the people, the City cannot keep pace with the aspirations of its people.

I hope this remains at the top of your mind as you assume office.
